Over the course of the Denison Sesquicentennial (January 3, 2022 - December 30, 2022), participants will challenge themselves to participate in water fitness classes. Participants will swipe in with their membership card and there will be a tracking system to see who completes the 150 visits first. If a participant would like to attend 2 hours of class, they will have to swipe in a second time between classes for it to count. Completion of the 150 fitness challenge will also land participants with a special 150 award!
Last year’s event was a huge success as many new neighborhoods came on board and community participation in the festivities increased from previous years – the Denison Police Department is hoping this year will be even bigger as we celebrate our 150th birthday! This national event promotes neighborhood camaraderie by bringing neighbors together to effectively identify and fight crime while building relationships with one another and the Denison Police Department. This is an excellent opportunity to get to know your neighbors, support local businesses, and engage in a community-wide, family friendly event.
